Love in Slumber

Let love not cool
and slumber make
with ease of familiarity

for love that sleeps
when called to rise
makes embers vanish from the eyes

Undeclared love is death
in unspoken words
a parched flower that can thirst no more

for when the well is capped
and the fountain dry
it weeps a barren Love's cry

like a mourning dove
bidding her mate
that receives no reply

Let love not cool
and slumber make
breathing a contented sigh

At Night

At night
When the darkness comes
The shadows that run
Don't leave my side

At night
When the darkness reigns
When the candles wane
lay me safely down

In the night
Where dreams rule
with the voice of fools
I grab your sword

I speak your name
oil the flame
and break the chain

I take my stand

Light the fire
speak the truth
burn the lies
clean the floor

The dark king
has no crown.

Fearful and Faithless

I shall not live as a coward
That spirit cannot reside with me

For with his sword, I faced down darkness
I have looked at demons in the eye
I declared them liars

By his arm, I withstood men of rage
exposed their deceit
and have not denied my God

With his strength, I have forgiven the unforgivable
loved the unlovable
and feel the unfelt
cried out tears of sorrow for righteousness

With his light he made me shine
created his child
that is who I am
May no man call me faithless

Because my Lord is in me
I can face the pain
I will do his will
and fear will not dwell with me

My beloved is brave
he fears not anything
not even sorrow or pain

He is light
and exposes evil
he gave everything and was glorified
he trusted his God.

he is me, and so can I

who am I?
I am the daughter of God
May no man call me coward.

The Righteous Cry

To the afflicted heart
his ears awaken
the suffering soul
his eyes seek

He will not look away
and not deliver
he will not turn around
and not save

Many are the pains of the righteous
saddness swarms from all sides
darkness seeks to bind
and cast into the pit

Wolves wait for the kill
and the dragon breathes an impatient sigh

But oh Lord your hand saves!
Your Voice is my balm
never will you allow my heart to fail
it searches for you.

Raise my voice, so I can sing
lift my eyes to gaze upon your face
grasp my hand and leads me down your path
put your words upon my lips

So I may praise you all my days
and lay them upon your altar
as a sacrifice to your goodness

Show me the mirror so I may see
how to remove the dirt from my face
how to shine just like your Son
and bless those whom you love

May I take what you give
and pour it out
may I possess you
and share you with the world

May I recieve your love
without hesitation
and supply it as freely
as you bestow it to me.

Bless the righteous cry
oh my beloved
for I lie at your feet and wait.

Awaken Love

I charge you Oh Daughters of Jerusalem
By the gazelles or by the does of the field
do not stir up or awaken love until it pleases!

How smooth goes down the wine for my beloved
moving gently his sleeping lips
like a bundle of myrrh between my breasts
is where he lies all night

His left hand is under my head
his right hand embraces me
I charge you, O daughters of Jersusalem
do not awaken love until it pleases!

Come let us go to the vineyard,
and see if the vine has budded
pomegrantes bloomed
So that I can give him my love
among our gates, with pleasant fruits

I have been awakened My Beloved
under the apple tree
My garden is ripe
and the spices flow out
as a fire of flame upon your heart
and with love stronger than death

I am awake my Love
waiting for you to say
"Let me hear it"

And then daughters of Jerusalem
I shall stir and awaken love
For it pleases
upon the Mountains of spices

"Make haste my Beloved, Make haste
like a gazelle or young stag
from the mountain of spices."

Beauty

What do you see Beloved
in this lowly sun-worn girl
for I have been forced to work
in my brothers fields.

"My love, My sister!
How beautiful are your feet
in sandals"

The Watchman has stripped me
of my Veil

"O prince's daughter!
Your thighs are the scuplture
of jewels by a workman."

My Soul had made me
as Chariots of my noble people

"Your navel is a goblet
lacking no drink
your waist is wheat
set about with lillies"

"Oh beautiful one
your stature is as pure
and straight as the palm,
and I will take hold
of it's branches.
Drink deeply my wine
and let is go down
smoothly,
for your love
is as a flame of fire
and you beauty
as a dove, my dove,
and there is no other."

"Let us walk
through the fields
my love, my bride,
smelling the blossoms
and mandrakes.

Where you shall give me your love
and whisper:"

"I am my beloved's
and his desire is toward me."

Call to Her

He knew the path to be long
The road to be dark.
She is made as a helper
and not meant to make
her trip alone.

Alone where she can only hear her own thoughts.
Alone because her Lord's home is still a distance off.
Alone but still walking, knowing he is there at the end.

Her cloths are worn through trial
and face darkened by tribulation
but her eyes are bright with a light
held for her beloved.

Shall he send an angel to sing her along,
to lift her head when it falls
hold her hand when the perils are too high
Shall he speak in the still of silence?

Will there be another one along the way,
to stay the road with her
Oh perhaps for awhile?

Lord keep her eyes bright
Send forth your light
Fill the sky with sight
Let there be no more night

How long oh Lord!
Beloved, whisper your words in her ear,
call to her from your Mountain.
Remind her what she if fighting for,
Give her a scent of home.

Call to her

"Rise up, My love, My beautiful one, and come away.
SoFor lo, the winter is past, the rain is over; it goes to itself.
the flowers appear on the earth; the time of singing has come,
and the voice of the turtle-dove is heard in our land;
the fig tree puts forth her green figs,
Arise, My love, My beautiful one, and come away."

The Beloved

You are pleasant, oh my Lord
Your shade is my delight
and your fruit sweet to my taste

I sit in the shadow of your wings
against your strong chest I lean
listening contently to your song

Sing to me beloved
call my heart home
with your voice
Whisper to me your love

For the time of singing has come
and the song of my dove is here
The rain has ended
and my garden is ripe

The day will break
and my heart leap
for upon the mountain
he will stand

I will grasp his words to my heart
and become a mountain of myrrh
drip honeycomb from my lips
wrapped in his garments of spice

Your wine goes down smoothly, oh beloved
blowing wind through my garden.

"Let me hear your song, my dove, I am held captive by your eyes."

"I am my beloved's
and my beloved is mine"
"Make haste my love, my Lord, make haste."

Her Lord's Hand

Her beloved says:
"Take my hand
step into heaven's light.
Sword in my hand
we will walk together
cutting through the darkness"

"recall the truth that I have spoken
There is no fear in love.
Our perfect love casts fear outside"

His light reflects off her sword
as she steps into the gloom.
In the left hand she raises her weapon
and in the right she grasps her Beloved's.

His hands smell of myrrh and cedar pines
and his head is covered with fresh dew
His eyes are of doves by water
bathed in white light

His presense gives her courage
His love gives her power
His sword, strength

His words spoken in truth
guide her along the path.

His authority at her touch
she slashes her sword
at his request
breaking the chains
of the disgusting things
healing the wounds of vultures.

Can you hear his voice
daughter of Zion?
The call of the dove?
He is in front of you
and beside you
all the way home.

"Fear not the darkness my sister, my spouse
you are a child of light
and your soul belongs to me.
You will never be alone beloved,
for your heart is in me
and mine in you."

I Sleep but my Heart is Awake

I sleep but my heart is awake
to the voice of my beloved

listen for his knock
as he calls
"Open for me!"

Virgin Daughter
your heart yearns for him
open your door
and spring forth your well

Do not fear the darkness
for he is your lamp
do not fear the pain
for he will lift you above it

For the watchmen of your city
will beat you instead of care for you
they will strip you of your veil
and wound you.
They despised the treasure given them
they spit upon his Love.

Hear her cry my Lord!
"If you find my beloved
Tell him I am lovesick.
Come for me!"

He will bring her from this wilderness
for she leans upon his chest
a seal set upon her heart
upon her arm
For love is as strong as death

She can no longer be harmed
for he awoke her beneath the apple tree

where her mother brought her forth
She dwells in his garden
and eats his fruit

Sing Oh Daughter of Zion
Sing him your song
call to him to come

"Make Haste my beloved
for upon your wings I wait
Come take me home
Where together we will stand."

a woman of Virture

Who shall be a lily among thorns
but the daughter of virtue

She works good and not evil all her days
her mouth she opens in wisdom of the Gospel of her Lord

She Works willingly with her hands to cloth her sheep
Laboring to bring food from afar
shepherding the lambs

She aquires a field and plants a vinyard
she is strenthen by her Beloved sword
girded with his power
to cultivate her fruit

Her hand is outstretched to the poor and needy
binding the wounds
applying salve

Her lamp does not go out
her oil she replenishes
drawing her children to her

She is clothed in strength and honor
in wisdom she speaks her Lords words
for he is the honor of the gate
and she praises his very name

Her children will praise her, her beloved bless her

A women, and yet not weak
she carries a sword
to cut through darkness
to shine forth his light

Who will stop her?
He has empowered her with his spirit
Her ministry to complete
Is he ashamed of her?
No, for she is his helper
to carry out his will

so he strengtens her hand
and imparts power to her call

Amen in much faith
may the bride be strong
a women, powerful in his name
inciting praise for her beloved.

Complete

Make my robe white
use your Rod of Shepherding
pull my heart in the right way
along the path you prepared

Do not fear reproof
do not fear exposing the dark
the light is more powerful
overcoming all hidden things

rejoice in your purification
rejoice in your cleansing
grasp hold of the son
and implant him
in your heart

until what is complete comes
until the call is sounded
be with us always
be with us now

he will not leave or forsake you
you have been chosen
before the founding of the world
to declare glad tidings
to the poor

amen

In much faith, to all the Holy ones

The death of Fear

In Christ we live
In death we gain

Our citizenship is from above
and in a twinkling we will be home

Be anxious over nothing
for his love throws fear outside
and the Darkness will not exist
with the light

Fear not the love you feel
enjoy it's beauty
swim in it's tides

see his Kingdom all around
touch his hand
observe his works

be in awe of all his good will
and build the bridge.

Our lives are laid at the foot of the path
to close the gap
to open the fountain

Father strengten us for the task
fill us with boldness and Spirit
let our mouths speak to your praise.

There is comfort in Christ
fellowship and mercy in the Spirit

But Love was all
is all
will be all

Father surpass our ability to love
give us more of you
fill our hearts with fullness
until we can no longer comprehend the feeling
and just float in spirit with you

amen
in love to all his children
be strong and do not be afraid
he has known us a very long time
and will not let us be snatched out of his hand

Signet Ring

Soften my heart
melt it down
build it up into your Son

Impress your seal
upon me now
and let my heart
reflect your light

Place the Word
between my eyes
let me see this world
through your sight

cast down the Devil
in my Soul
for I have been lead out of captivity
into your glorious arms.

Until the day
When the hazy outline is gone
carry me upon your wings
and let me soar

Pour upon me your spirit
With gifts and wonders
testify to me
I am your child

For I belong to you
and you alone

Beloved, Take us!
behind the curtain
perfect us
complete us
recieve us home to you.

Amen
Let us pray in much faith
to our God, through his savior
for we ask in his name
and we wait to recieve.

Zion's Song

Daughter of Zion
my Beloved
hear my call
open the door

upon the mountians
take your abode
let nations stream
to your home

Do not awaken love
before it's time
Do not stir love
until the call

Sound the trumpets
my brothers!
Declare his will
Awaken the Bride
recieve her home

Her path is narrow
and perils are by the sides
but her Lord grasps her hand
and leads the way

Praise Yah all you people
Praise Yah you heavens and earth
Holy Holy Holy is the Father of the Lamb
Good and great are all their ways!

They are love
we live in love
and reflect their love
The Kingdom
The covenant
our seal

A prayer in much Faith
